JProfiler 3 wrecked WebSphere 5's installation. I still don't know what the problem is, but WAS now only starts from JProfiler. Damn! I still don't know why one should pay for WAS while there is a JBoss. Just wondering...

Jprofiler modifies the server.xml file and create a backup for the same. Replace the server.xml with server.xml.backup....websphere should start...if not post another comment...
Thanks! I am not in that company anymore and I don't have access to a WebSphere installation anymore. I will do in the next job :)
